Windows 10

No problems with the upgrade here, as far as XXL(2015) goes. Just took 6 or 7 attempts for the win10 upgrade installation to be successful. The first try, first thing, win10 uninstalled my network drivers and cut itself off from the internet thus not being able to complete it's own installation. Is this the "future here now" that Microsoft speaks of. Otherwise not much is different, kinda like xl 2012 to xxl 2015. My rating 1 to 10.....5

tips: stop any screen savers from running, empty the trash bin, delete all temp internet files, and cross your fingers.

 

I had no issues. . . some minor problems when upgrading with the graphics card. . . they fixed it themselves after some restarts ( wow ).
So far i like it. . . it's a bit messy with file locations and is "too much" sometimes with all the options and so on.
No issues at all with Cities XL. All in the game running smooth.

I come back to W8.1 to me is faster, also if the 10 is good and has a very good picture visualization but W10 don't let u stop the upgrade. So W10 upgrade what they want also meanwhile u are working. Too much noising for me.

 

I also wanted to know this myself. I found this helpful. I'm guessing it's not compatible for XL though, correct?

 

What CXL are you trying to run? I use CXL 2012 and Win 10 works just fine

So... okey. Then I trying to install Cities XXL, the installer show me the Error: or "Isdone dll, unarc dll", or "decompression failed with error code -5,12 etc."

 

I'll try everything, but no results.

 

Try:
Right click on the CitiesXXL.exe
Click "Run as Administrator".
Click "yes".

and/or

Try:
Right click on the CitiesXXL.exe
Click "Troubleshoot compatibility".

The .exe file will not be available until after the install.

 

Whatever you do, do not download dll files from the web.

Do you have enough hard disk space in the drive you want to install the game?

Try installing the files included in the game's directory in the folder prerequisites and _CommonRedist
