Requests And What They Should Contain

    I see lately a number of requests with only a 3DWarehouse link.

    For your information, importing a model from Google is 10x harder than creating it from scratch.
    Google models are messy, have either not enough or too much polygons and can have "artefacts" than add polygons where it isn't necessary.

    A good request contains pictures of the building.
    If possible, pictures from as many angles and of the best quality possible to be used as textures.
    Some alternate (historical, adress, architectural) infos are a bonus.


    Modders with experience could add infos on what they really need.

    everything what can be used as textures

    (high quality images, pictures most likley frontal and and all sides of the builing)... +(maybe an adress, so i can take a look at it at streetview, or a name of the building)

    Ps: sketchup models are only useful when they contain hq textures ;)

    Google models are good to know the size and proportions of the buildings without having to do the math yourself. Floor plans and elavation drawins usually don't come with measurements, so you have to guess. For the rest...yep, pretty much useless.
