1. If you are going to register on XLNation, please make sure you do not use a proxy server.
    If you use a proxy server your registration will most likely get blocked due to spammers and hackers using proxy servers to hide their real IP address.

    If your using your home or work IP address and have not received your registration email, check your spam folder.

Just Installed Uim Mod On Cities 2011, Will Not Work. Help!

    I just downloaded and installed the UIM and have in placed in the correct folder, not in paks, but in the standalone cities xl folder and am not seeing any change when I start the game. The game will crash if i add additional mods, but it just ignores the fact that the UIM is installed.

    Any suggestions?!

    When you say you placed UIM in the standalone Cities XL folder, do you mean you set the installation path there?

    yes, I even tried placing the mod in the folder as well

    You need to install UIM using the XLNation_UserInterfaceMod_v1.79.9.exe (right click run as admin) and make sure the install location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2012 or C:\Program files\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2012 depending on your version of windows.
    Or you can use the patch version (ZZZZZZ_XLN_Altiris_UIM_v1.79.9.patch) and place it into your PAKS folder. Install the Optional Features by putting them into your PAKS folder.
    All patch files MUST be in the PAKS folder or they will not work.

    SUCCESS!! a great many thanks to you both, now the rest of my mods wont work but I'll work on it, im sure ill get it eventually
