Bugs And Things To Do For Counties Xl

    1. I have created a new Resource Entry Called Countries XL, I created an Example Category of Country 1.
    • Each Country would be Created and a Category added (by me), That Leader would then be responsible for maintaining the "Country" Entry (similar to a City Journal).
    • Each City could then be created under their country and maintained by that Mayor
    With that in mind I am starting to wonder if we really need a forum about the Countries since you can easily get to the stuff similar to a City Journal??? Also this is only to get everyone thinking. I am sure none of you envisioned the "Resource Manager" as a tool when you first were thinking about this Project.

    2. You need to start thinking about Custom Fields for the Resource Entries, things like the map and or population. I can literally add any field you want.

    2. Maybe you can add an addition field called 'Country', whether the person is participating in
    CountriesXL or not, that person might see a benefit for this field to 'identify' their city.

    The project is looking very promising so far, thanks Icy for the new site and Dreian for refining the
    CountriesXL project and making it better. Can't wait! ;)

    2. The country idea sounds nice @Pamascus27 i'm for that...that way you can indentify the city's style and avoid misunderstandments, even when you're not a part of CountriesXL project ;)

    Let me know about things I still need to do. As the countries are created I need to add the proper navigation on the Countries XL Resource Page I assume and I am guessing a City Category under the country?

    1. Don't forget I need the "required" fields you want every city (or country) to be included when the Entry is created. (Look at a recent City Journal for example and you will notice the "Map Used" and "Population" fields that are required)

    Also I am guessing there is still a desire for a "main page" in html format about the project?

    Icy, here are my thoughts concerning the "COUNTRY JOURNAL" entry


    The journal should be divided in three parts with the following fields:


    1. COUNTRY INFORMATION


    · “Name of Country” (left side):

    · “Flag of Country” (zone for an image to be uploaded – right side)

    · “Capital”:

    · “President in function”:

    · “History”: Free form field (Information to be displayed in spoiler mode)

    · “Famous landmarks”: Free form field (Information to be displayed in spoiler mode)

    · “Contests wins”: Free form field (Information to be displayed in spoiler mode)


    2. CITIES INFORMATION


    "add city" button (is it possible?)


    “City Name” Field

    · Coat of Arms / logo (image to be uploaded)

    · Administrative status

    · Current Population

    · Governor

    · Famous landmarks


    3. COUNTRY JOURNAL


    User free content


    Guys, if you have some other ideas of permanent features/ fields we could add to the country journal, please feel free to propose!

    hmmh, maybe we could have something like a thread that
    shows which buildings you were allowed to build and which
    buildings are considered as outstanding landmarks,
    and that you can actualize this easily, e.g. once the Eiffel Tower
    is built, you put it into a category like "buildings you cannot build".

    ok then when creating the resource Country XL player need to fill:

    Country Name
    Tag line
    Population
    City Names
    City Governors
    Resource Icon (to put the flag)
    Description
