1. If you are going to register on XLNation, please make sure you do not use a proxy server.
    If you use a proxy server your registration will most likely get blocked due to spammers and hackers using proxy servers to hide their real IP address.

    Hey guys,

    Thanks again for this !

    I'm just sending over my opinion about this new site.

    I really love the way you guys are presenting your brand new site. The only one thing i could think of as it was better in the old page is the mod browsing in XL Xchange. I know that the ressource page is roughly the same, but from my humble point of view.

    Do you guys consider implementing the old school browsing for mods?
    Or is that the final version?

    Anyway, i really appreciate your work

    Yeah I agree, I think the older system was easier for grumpy old farts like me to use.
    Hmm, maybe I should have chosen Grumpy Old Fart for my user name hahaha!
    However, it's great that we can add polls to forum threads.
    I didn't realize that feature was available until I looked here (I'm still test driving the new site so I obviously must have missed that part!)

    The XL Exchange was a custom piece of software done around 201o or so for Drupal 6.22. The person that wrote it is long gone. XLNation has been stuck at this level since then, with no security or other updates. There is no alternative but to move on. I think the new system will grow on you. XLNation runs on a server I provide at my office. I have no choice but to update that server and in doing so XLNation would have been lost. With this move I will be able to keep XLNation going for many years and keep my needs at the office met.

    Hey IcyHot, thanks for the info. I liked the old style for the mod index but I don't have any actual problems with the way it's set up here... I liked the old style cos I could be lazy when it came to looking for things haha!
    And by the way, "Thanks" for hosting the site on your server, much appreciated :)

    Is there a way that when a new mod is introduce, that it would be marked as NEW MOD? Why? Because many of us have already downloaded most of the mods that are being posted in this new website and yet I am finding it hard to figure out which is brand new from the older mods that we got from XL Nation. :confused:

    Pretty much everything being posted is what was on the old XLN exchange and there's nothing new...yet.
    Apart from a few maps that have been added.
    Once all the mods have been transferred it will be easier to see the new and updated ones when they are added.
