    thats an exporter bug and pink lods dont appear on all machines ;)
    u can only try to reexport ur sgbin file and dont move ur model at all in exporter, just click save as immediately. that increases chance for not having this bug.
    i guess ure using the one for max2012?
    if so, would be nice if u can add xlplatinum/2012 to supported game versions for ur mods in xlex descriptions :)

    The greyish/blue one in XXL goes purple when zooming out. I play on XXL. Maybe it was the tan one.. Anyway, I'll post a pic. I can't remember exactly now.

    To fix the purple bug thing do the following:

    1/load your model into max
    2/ Export your model into the viewer but DO NOT SAVE IT as .sgbin.
    3/Close the Viewer
    4/ Re-export your model into the Viewer and then save it as sgbin.

    Dont ask me why or how this works , it just does. Originally posted by Altiris on the old site when I encountered the exact same problem when I started modding.

    The pink lods do not show on all machines which makes it hard to spot for some modders. However, you should notice a reduction in file size when you save out a "good " version over one with downdx4 textures in it, this indicates that you have solved the problem. Check by unpaking the .sgbin in PakunPak and looking for any downdx4 appended textures. If you have no downdx4s then you have solved the problem. Downx4 bloat also tends to happen more often with textures above the recommended size as shown in the original design document.

    They work in xl if you update your config file to 1.4 and most other xxl mods
