    you are using an old mod, which has old shaders "building enhaced" (i can see it by its name, the one that has been updated for xxl is called "building enhanced"), and because of that a mod you are using is not compatible to cxxl and will cause crashes. remove it.

    you can check your log file, maybe it gives a hint.
    if not you gotta try manually one by one :p (look out for xln's early mods)

    As far as I know, D3D Compile Fails can also be caused by shadercache, go to your Appdata folder, find Cities XL, go to the shadercache folder and delete everything inside.
