Cities XXL always traffic problems

    Every city I build has traffic problems. It's always the main complaint of my citizens no matter what I do. I've added ample bus lines, added highways to move people from one side of the city to the other without stopping. I've added avenues everywhere to allow for two lanes of traffic. One-ways. Frontage roads off of avenues to reduce stop lights.

    Everything I can think of and everyone complains.

    Any advice?

    Use wider streets for the middle of your city. Have you tried the metro or trams? Dont forget the waterways (ferrys)

    Jeremy, I know what you mean. Besides what skullz613 said you have to watch for traffic congestion. If there is only one tiny red dot in your traffic map, all citizen passing through there will complain that city has huge traffic problems. Watch out for highway exits and entrance too - you have to put very wide roads there as they can get very crowded.

    yep, public transport especially metro
    or just ignore the complains LOL, sometimes it's impossible to solve it

    force your citizens to use public transport by building one-way roads, cut some roads in the middle (tram-only-parts for example) or pedestrian paths.. also try the "increase public transportation "use"" mod.
    the games traffic simulation is quite crappy, so its basically the only solution

    Use the NEXL trams. They are in the resource area.

    Pretty sure that Trams don't work in XXL (2015).
